here are a few recent photos of some solid Ottawa musicians...
buried inside is a bunch of clean cut hardcore kids wanting to be slayer. they play hard on the stage and play even harder on the basketball court.
seppuku is an amazing multi-instrumentalist named mark molnar (left in the photo). sometimes solo, sometimes with members of rake, his live shows will send shivers up your spine. i put out his first CD and i'd recommend it to anyone interested in challenging contemporary classical or avant-garde jazz. photo taken with my lomo.
weights & measures is a three piece instrumental ensemble who i would describe as "math rock" if i were a poorly versed journalist. precise, aggressive bass, drums and guitar combined with elements of danger and sex. on tour across canada right now.
that's it for this weekend... i am going to Philadelphia Sun-Wed to get away and see some rock. i'll probably do another multi-photo page for Monday (my appologies in advance). unless i manage to find the time to do up four full pages in the next two days.
