Keeping with the bass motif here's Bouncing Soul Bryan Kienlen.
The Souls have come a long way since I stumbled on them in Handy St. basement while on tour with Shotmaker in New Brunwick, NJ. They were probably pretty big back then, but cool enough to headline an all local festival in a D.I.Y. venue. Their coolness multiplied exponentially when their August 18, 2003 Ottawa show was shut down by THE blackout... Not only did they wait it out while we tried to find a generator, playing an accoustic set to a couple dozen kids who stuck around, but they backtracked to make up the show a couple days later driving 12 hours out of their way.
Before the Souls even stepped on stage the Warped crowd had belted out several choruses of "Olé" and the dust cloud over the pit began the minute the band took the stage.
